Life can be full of ups and downs, twists and turns, and sometimes it feels like we are being tossed around by the waves of life. It can be easy to get caught up in the chaos and to lose sight of what is truly important. But what if we made a conscious effort to get rid of the waves, by focusing on Jesus?
This is something I personally must work on every day!
I am reminded though that when we focus on Jesus, we learn more of who we are and whose we are. We are reminded that we are children of God, created in His image and loved by Him. We are reminded that He is in control and that He is with us always, even amid the storms.
Staring at Jesus means to spend time in prayer and in the word of God. It means to meditate on who He is and what He has done for us. It means to allow Him to speak to us and to guide us. It means to let go of our own worries and to trust in Him. I am best at this when I'm in adoration but also admit, that even with Jesus right in front of me, I am continually challenged to pull myself from that space of waves and get to Him.
It's when we focus on Jesus, the waves of life start to lose their power over us. We start to see things from a different perspective, a perspective that is rooted in faith. We start to see that even in the midst of the storms, God is still in control and that He is working all things for our good.
It's not always easy to focus on Jesus, especially when life is hard. But that's when He is there to remind us that He really IS always with us, and that He loves us more than we could ever imagine! He has a plan for our lives and He will never leave us or forsake us. Deuteronomy 31:6
It's powerful to navigate through prayer and as a dear friend shared with me, getting rid of the waves of life can be as simple as focusing on Jesus.
Together in prayer, hand in hand.

This is soooo deep
“It's powerful to navigate through prayer and as a dear friend shared with me, getting rid of the waves of life can be as simple as focusing on Jesus.”
I experienced this just the other day after dropping my son off at Pre school after having a rough morning getting him ready and just feeling like the worst mother in the world … I was bawling in the car after dropping him off and the moment I put my eyes on Jesus I felt peace… he even gave me the most beautiful view of clouds that looked like angel wings on my way home that helped me realize and remember that I AM NOT…
